The bungalow looks out over a garden and fruit trees, some of which are treasured remnants from the days when Orcas Island was known as the 'orchard capital' of the state. An informal hedge of wild blackberries flowers abundantly in early summer and is laden with fruit later in the season. Deer roam freely about the farm and bald eagles soar overhead. We have painstakingly restored the Bungalow to keep its c. 1940 style and charm, and to provide our guests with all the comforts of home.

Orcas Island has become a favorite year-round vacation spot for families or for quiet getaways from the city. Moran State Park provides wonderful recreation opportunities in all seasons: lakes for swimming or fishing, miles of hiking and biking trails, and breathtaking views from the top of Mt. Constitution, the highest point in the San Juan Islands. Kayak and whale watching tours are a popular choice of summer visitors. Many galleries showcase the work of the island's talented artists.

Our own home, built at the turn of the century, sits about 200 feet from the bungalow and stands as one of Orcas Island's examples of the 'Craftsman Farmhouse' architecture.
